Dmitri began his career at a Moscow brokerage in 2008, navigating the ruble crisis of that year within months of starting. He later moved through roles in structured products and FX derivatives at institutions in Russia and Eastern Europe before relocating to Cyprus, which has become a hub for much of the CIS financial industry. With sixteen years of hands-on experience, he understands the specific pressures facing traders in post-Soviet markets: currency controls, geopolitical volatility, broker regulation, and the challenge of accessing global markets from jurisdictions with restrictions. He holds a degree in Applied Mathematics from Moscow State University and a CFA designation.
